In this series we get to know the team behind Nory. What are they working on? What’s on their bucket list? Do they have the culinary skills to pay the bills!?
1. What do you do at Nory?
I mostly work on the frontend side of Nory. So basically everything the user sees and interacts with on Nory. I take what the designers whip up in their prototypes and turn it into a functioning product.
2. If you could release one feature tomorrow what would it be?
Rather than one specific feature I’d love to do a deep dive into Nory’s codebase and make some efficiency improvements. It’s not exactly flashy, but maintenance improvements such as these are important to the longevity of the application.
3. Who’s at your dream dinner party and why?
Probably my late grandfather, so I can have a proper conversation with him as an adult and fully appreciate the things he tells me.
4. What’s your favourite meme?
The ’Trust nobody, not even yourself’ meme. It really represents my day to day. I’ll find a piece of code and wonder who wrote the monstrosity, only to realise it was me!
5. One off your bucket list..
Work at a start-up! As a very risk averse person it seemed like something I’d never have the courage to do, so I put it on my bucket list
